As companies are increasingly virtualizing and consolidating their server infrastructure, both to ensure business continuity and to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership of their IT infrastructure, the share of the enterprise desktop in that TCO continues to increase. The traditional enterprise desktop is considered a costly aspect of the company infrastructure and represents several tough challenges IT administrators need to overcome to ensure business continuity.  The driving forces behind desktop virtualization are the progressive removal of complexity from the user and a substantial reduction of the desktop’s share in the TCO of corporate IT infrastructure. The user experience will remain responsive and familiar, yet flexible to evolve.  At the enterprise-level resources are consolidated where they are best managed.
